Your treatment begins with a close look at the patch and skin around it. The treatment zone is mapped, then a custom pigment formula is developed from the tone of your surrounding skin. The color is created for your treatment area rather than selected from a fixed pre-made shade.
Color matching is checked under natural daylight, fluorescent light, and warm light. Once the formula and zone are prepared, the micro-pigmentation treatment places the matched pigment in the depigmented area.
Session planning and healing timeline
A treatment session is planned for 90–120 minutes. Comprehensive coverage is generally planned as 2–3 sessions, rather than assuming one visit covers every patch. Your assessment and custom pigment formula guide the plan for your area.
After pigment is placed, the color goes through its settling process. The final color settles over 4–6 weeks. This is why planning looks beyond the first treatment appointment and why your studio team reviews the treatment area before the process is considered complete.
Your written aftercare plan sets the return timing for your plan. Use that plan and the studio’s guidance when arranging follow-up, rather than a calendar meant for someone else’s skin or treatment area.
