The husband-and-wife team behind Olive N Sage — Reno's paramedical tattoo studio. Eight years. One thousand clients. One mission: help people stop hiding.
THE BEGINNING
It started with a health scare.
I had a health scare that gave us a personal reason to look more closely at skin and scarring. Chaz trained in this work so he could help me. That beginning became Olive N Sage, and later our Academy. It still shapes how we care for you: we listen, take our time, and remember the person behind every treatment.
We now bring eight years of hands-on work and experience with more than one thousand clients to our Reno studio. We work with five surgeon referral partners and teach through our Academy, where more than 450 artists have trained.
What matters most to us is how you feel in the chair: heard, cared for, and clear about your choices.

Chaz is a CE-accredited paramedical tattoo artist and co-founder of Olive N Sage. His work spans inkless scar revision, scar camouflage, stretch mark treatment, magnetic tattoo removal, areola restoration, and piercing — each one executed with careful attention to detail.
Meticulous technique. Steady hand. Zero shortcuts. They work with surgeon-referred clients and discuss skin readiness, technique and treatment planning at the consultation.
Together, they built Olive N Sage from a single treatment room into a Reno paramedical tattoo studio and a training academy.

A personal beginning, a practical approach
You do not need to arrive with the right technical words for your skin. You can begin with the part that bothers you, the clothes you avoid, or the question you have been putting off. Our work began with a personal reason to care about skin and scarring. That is why a conversation comes before a treatment recommendation here.
Tricia's own health scare led us to look closely at this work, and Chaz trained so he could help her. That is the real beginning of Olive N Sage. We bring that personal starting point into the way we listen to you, explain a technique, and make room for your decision.
A scar, a change in skin tone, or the final stage of reconstruction is personal. Your appointment is not a test of whether you have a good enough reason to care. You are welcome to ask straightforward questions about what a service does, what it costs, what healing involves, and how it fits your goals. Those questions belong in the room.
Working alongside surgeon referrals
Olive N Sage works with surgeon-referred clients in Reno. Our established referral network includes five surgeon partners. If your treatment follows surgery or reconstruction, bring the relevant details and your medical team's guidance to your consultation. You do not have to choose between your surgeon's advice and a clear conversation about the appearance of your skin.
Paramedical tattooing is appearance-focused work, not a replacement for surgery, medical treatment, or follow-up care. We discuss tissue readiness, the service you are considering, and the information needed before proceeding. Areola restoration after mastectomy or reconstruction deserves its own plan; it is not the same appointment as scar camouflage, tattoo removal, or a decorative tattoo.

At your $75 consultation, we connect those descriptions to your treatment area and discuss the proposed plan and price with you.

We are pleased to share that recognition alongside the facts of our practice: eight years of hands-on work, more than one thousand clients, and a studio built around both treatment and teaching. An award does not replace an individual assessment or promise the same result to every person.
For you, the useful part of experience is a clearer discussion. You should understand why a technique is being considered, how sessions are planned, and what your written aftercare instructions cover. You should also understand when a different service is a better fit. A straightforward explanation is more useful than a percentage-success claim or a promise that every scar will disappear.
The Academy and your first visit
Tricia and Chaz also teach through Olive N Sage Academy, where more than 450 artists have trained. The Academy is a separate destination for professional education. If you are here as a client, you do not need to sort through course dates or training language to find your treatment. The Beauty Bar's service pages and consultation booking take you to the client side of the work.
The same founders connect the studio, the Academy and Sage Pro Elite. Their roles are shown plainly: paramedical practitioners, co-founders and educators. They are Artemis trainers, not Artemis-certified. Your first step is a 45-minute consultation with Tricia and Chaz. You share your goals and treatment history; they assess the area and discuss a plan and price. Consultations are $75. The studio is at 105 Mt Rose St, Suite G, Reno, NV 89509, and appointments are Monday–Friday, 10 AM–5 PM · by appointment only. We serve Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Lake Tahoe.
