The treatment is for all skin tones, including Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin, where laser carries higher risk. A scar needs to be fully healed before treatment; for a post-surgical scar, the minimum is three months after surgery. At consultation, the scar assessment under multiple lighting conditions informs the proposed timeline.
Scar Lightening addresses darker pigment in a healed scar. If your concern follows breast or other surgery, the consultation can focus on the scar area. A 3D areola is a separate service and is not included as scar removal.

Session planning and healing timeline
One to three sessions are typical for Scar Lightening. Your plan is based on the individual treatment area, the scar assessment, and the timeline discussed at consultation. The studio maps the area before treatment so you have a defined point of reference as your sessions progress.
Lightening develops progressively over four to eight weeks after treatment. This is a gradual process tied to fresh cell turnover, not an instant change. Give the area time to move through the healing sequence before assessing its progress or discussing another session.
The treatment facts do not set a fixed return calendar for every scar. Your written aftercare plan sets return timing for your area and proposed plan. Keep that plan accessible and contact the studio with healing questions so you understand the next step.
Aftercare
You receive written, individualized aftercare instructions for your treatment area. Keep the area clean and do not pick at it while it heals. Your instructions are tailored to the treatment performed and give you the guidance to follow between your appointment and return timing.
Discuss sun exposure, friction, and water restrictions with the studio before you leave. That conversation lets you plan around clothing, activities, and routine contact with the area. Use your written plan instead of relying on a generic routine from someone else’s treatment.
